GIS Database Project: A Game-Changer for Plateau State<\/strong> \u201cCurrently, there is no comprehensive GIS data available for abandoned mining sites in Plateau State,\u201d Ajayi explained. \u201cThis data is critical for site identification, environmental assessment, and land-use planning. Without it, rehabilitation efforts are significantly hampered.\u201d<\/p>\n The project will be executed in two phases. The first phase involves the collation of GIS data to create a detailed database of abandoned mining pits.
