The event saw the official launch of the NDPC\u2019s Annual Report and the maiden edition of its Journal on Data Protection and Privacy<\/strong>, reflecting the Commission\u2019s strides in policy implementation, regulation, and capacity-building initiatives over the past year.<\/p>\n

Job Creation Through Data Protection Certification<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Dr. Olatunji reaffirmed the NDPC\u2019s dedication to job creation, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda<\/strong>. He highlighted the recent launch of the National Certification Program for Data Protection Officers<\/strong>, a domestic certification initiative aimed at creating over 500,000 jobs<\/strong> within Nigeria\u2019s data protection and privacy ecosystem.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis certification program will empower young Nigerians with the skills required to become Data Protection Officers, ensuring local expertise and enhancing compliance across industries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
