In the past two days, three major projects have been announced, signaling a significant influx of foreign direct investment. Leading the charge are tech giants Microsoft and G42, which have committed to investing $1 billion into Kenya’s burgeoning tech sector. This substantial investment is set to propel the country’s technology landscape to new heights.<\/p>\n
Among the exciting developments are two innovative projects. The first, the UK-Kenya Alternative Proteins Global Innovation Network, is a collaborative initiative between the UK and Kenya aimed at developing alternative protein sources. This project offers up to \u00a340,000 in funding per initiative, with applications opening in June 2024.<\/p>\n
The second project, funded by the prestigious British Academy, is spearheaded by The Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology and the Department of Geography at the University of Lincoln.
