The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, has been honoured with the distinguished award for Engineering and Industrial Innovation at the 2nd edition of the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).bay

 

The award which was presented by the Vice President of Nigeria, Sen. Kashim Shettima, GCON on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, underscores Mr. Halilu’s stellar performance and transformational leadership during his first year in office.

 

The presentation ceremony, held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Saturday 6th July 2024 aimed at celebrating outstanding public servants who have made significant contributions to the nation’s development.

 

Mr Halilu’s recognition is a testament to his unwavering commitment to making NASENI a hub of technology transfer and innovation not only in Nigeria but across Africa.

On Sunday, July 7th, 2024, Rev. Fred Obetoh delivered a powerful sermon titled “Experiencing The Supernatural” to a captivated congregation. Drawing from the scriptures, Rev. Obetoh emphasized the presence and importance of the supernatural in the Christian journey.

Rev. Obetoh began by posing a reflective question to the congregation: “Ask yourself this question; why are you here?” He then referenced Exodus 7:10-13, illustrating the mysterious nature of God’s kingdom through the story of Aaron’s rod swallowing the serpents of Pharaoh’s sorcerers. Despite witnessing such miracles, Pharaoh’s heart remained hardened, underscoring the vanity of life and the supreme importance of Jesus.

“Miracles are not fake from genuine men of God. This is the supernatural!” Rev. Obetoh declared, emphasizing that a pure mind is essential for experiencing the supernatural. Rev. Obetoh warned against the small mistakes that can hinder the supernatural and encouraged the congregation to anticipate experiencing the supernatural during the five Sundays of anointing services. He asserted that God often tests believers with challenges to prepare them for greater blessings.

“These signs shall follow them that believe,” Rev. Obetoh said, quoting Mark 16:17-18, and urged the congregation to truly understand and respect the name of Jesus. He cautioned against being misled by others and stressed the importance of hearing and listening to God for a supernatural experience.

Referencing Acts 5:12-16, Rev. Obetoh spoke about the miracles performed by the apostles and identified bitterness, anger, and malice as obstacles to miracles in the church today. He also cited John 2:1-4, the marriage at Cana, where Jesus performed a miracle out of obedience to His mother, emphasizing that obedience brings miracles.

In his closing prayers, Rev. Obetoh asked for divine intervention in the lives of the congregation:

– That no one can stop God’s work in their lives.
– That they be connected to helpful individuals.
– That they not be led astray.
– For favor in areas where they have been previously denied.
– For mercy for past mistakes and wrongdoings.
– For the removal of any harmful incantations.

He concluded by invoking grace upon the congregation, encouraging them to receive it fully.

 

This sermon marks the beginning of a series of anointing services aimed at deepening the spiritual experience of believers and fostering a greater connection to the supernatural.

South East Governors have resolved to interface with the Federal Government to secure the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

It was part of their resolutions after a closed door meeting of the Forum which was held at Government House, Enugu on Tuesday.

The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodinma also told newsmen that the Forum deliberated on the reviewed reports of the South East security and economic summit held recently at owerri and resolved to implement aspects partaining to security and economic integration of the region.

He said the Givernors will visit President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to discuss pressing issues concerning the South East region.

The Forum commiserated with the people of the region over the death of the Former Governor of old Abia State Dr. Ogbonaya Onu and thereafter constituted a nine member burial Committee headed by Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim while Rt Hon. Rotimi Amechi is to serve as secretary.

The meeting was attended by all the Governors in the zone including Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State.
