As Enterprise Architecture is being used as a standard tool for executing a digital transformation strategy, the National Information Technology Development Agency has implemented the Nigeria Government Enterprise Architecture (NGEA) to set clear directions for Government digital transformation in Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi at 12th ISACA Annual Conference where he delivered Keynote Address with the theme: “Accelerating Digital Transformation: The Nigerian Trends.

Abdullahi said NITDA implemented the Nigeria Government Enterprise Architecture framework to drive short, medium, and long term digital transformational impact.

He added that the framework provides direction enabling other government parastatals to easily, quickly, and conveniently execute digital initiatives. It also reduces the complexity associated with digital transformation and accelerates adoption across the board.

“The framework we designed at NITDA is in line with the digital transformation foundation laid by President Muhammadu Buhari. In October 2019, the president renamed and expanded the mandate of our Ministry to cover Digital Economy, he said.

He further stated that, “In November the same year, 2019,the president unveiled National Digital Economy Policy for Digital Nigeria, and he directed my Minister Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, to implement the policy. On the same day, the president also directed all Federal Public Institutions to set up a Digital Transformation Technical Working Group and on 27th August this year, the Honorable Minister of communications and digital economy inaugurated the first set of 100 Federal Public Institutions’ digital transformation working group. The idea behind setting the technical working group is to consolidate on the achievements recorded under some of our initiatives such as the Nigeria e-Government Master Plan (NeGMP), Nigeria e-Government Interoperability Framework (Ne-GIF) and Nigeria Government Enterprise Architecture (NGEA).”

According to him, the framework has two value propositions. Firstly to promote One Government digital service and secondly, to guarantees the autonomy of each Federal Public Institutions (FPIs) to make individual decisions around business processes, digital services, and applications.

Furthermore, the framework has seven layers, namely Business, Service, Data, Application, IT Infrastructure, Security, and Performance, which centered around people and processes. Each layer has high-level expectations for FPIs and as well as specifies best practices, standards, tools, reference models and recommendations that will help FPIs achieve their value propositions and meet citizens’ expectations for government digital services.
Abdullahi opined that with the current reality of COVID-19, digital transformation strategy focuses more on how to deliver digital service to Nigerians. Therefore, the strategy depends on existing capabilities as a country to achieve operational excellence in a digital economy.

“Having understood how important digital capabilities are in driving digital transformation, we have embarked on upskilling and reskilling Nigerians with appropriate knowledge and skills that the necessary building blocks for digital transformation. We have trained over 26,000 Nigerians this year alone on different digital skills to help them understand and embrace digital transformation.

“In addition to the capacity building, we have provided thousands of digital tools to Nigerians raging from artisan toolbox set, smart mobile devices, laptops to building Community training centers, IT hubs, Innovation, and incubation hubs and center of excellence for emerging technologies,” he added.

Since you can’t pay tithes, pastor turns you into an errand boy.He sends you to buy biscuits for his children, wash pants for his wife and clean his cars.

You sweep the church for free while awaiting your heavenly reward while the pastor fly private jets and drive flashy sedans.

You are happy that your pastor is rich and argue for him whenever anyone mentions him in negative light concerning his riches.

While pastor runs to the UK at the slightest symptoms of headache he will pray for you when you are sick and bedridden. He will tell you to bring your sick mother to church for prayers instead of taking her to hospitals to waste money.

She dies and he tells you that it was God’s will while his mother has been in the UK for months receiving the best treatment that tithes can buy.

He buys a new land for a new church branch, you help to carry blocks and turn concrete, then collect blessings as reward. That way he saves on labour cost though that had been factored in the quotation and will still be reflected on the expenditure in case some nosey fellow starts asking the hard questions..You are happy to be working for the salvation of your soul, heaven will pay.
The pastor lives his heaven on earth.

The new church building is completed on your sweat. He invites the deputy president, senator, member of parliament and every other person who made sure that you are poor by design.

The whole area is policed with guns and armored cars. You are comfortably seated at the back while straining your neck to see who and who came.

The deputy president and governor and senator plus their contractor friends donate hundreds of millions for the new church while you cheer from the back.

The food they shared didn’t get to you but you are happy the deputy president and governor and senator came to your church. You even brag to others of how your pastor is well connected.

You get home, hunger Knocks angrily on the belly door, your neighbor bails you out while you wait for heaven to pay.

Age is no longer on your side, pastor hooks you up with another aunty that sweeps the church for free with no education just like you and Weds you both on a Friday evening church service and you are happy.

20 years later you are still waiting for the elusive miracle. By this time the pastor’s children have been sent abroad for studies while your kids are active members of the praise and worship team where they offer their services free of charge.

you are proud that your pastors kids are blessed and tell anyone who care to listen just how blessed the bishops family is.

Corrupted Pentecostalism is one of the worst things that ever happened to Africa.”

Hanson Johnson the founder of one of the foremost ICT capacity building facilities in Niger Delta Region known as Start Innovation Hub, can be known as a software developer. He is always in sync with coding but that isn’t what he is known truly for! Johnson is a man that is building capacity in Uyo! Recently, he introduced Graphic Training that would equip youths to be graphic designers especially in the areas of product packaging.

Product-packaging design refers to the creation of the exterior of a product. That includes choices in material and form as well as graphics, colours and fonts that are used on wrapping, a box, a can, a bottle or any kind of container.

Design is a key factor in packaging. A quality package design can attract potential customers and set the product apart from the competition. The visual presence represents not only the quality of the product, but should also suggest a clear personality.

To test how much she has been able to grasp in 60+ days of CREATE 2.1, Aniefiok Udosen a Graphics design Trainee was asked to replicate the product package for CTORCH which she did successfully.

That being said, did you know that the Centennial Light is the world’s longest-lasting light bulb, burning since 1901, and almost never switched off? ☺️☺️

As we know, the basic elements of graphic design include line, shape, form, texture, and balance. They might not seem like much on their own, but together, they’re part of almost everything we see and create.

After taking them through the whole basics of graphic design for two whole months, it was time to test their knowledge and know to what extent they have grasped all they were taught using real-life projects.

Those of us who love quick breakfast will be familiar with this pack whose design was replicated by Chinonso Ejike.

Chinonso Ejike one of our CREATE 2.1 graphics design trainees replicated the exact design on the pack of White Oats.Pay attention to her application of the basis which she was taught in the classroom to produce this amazing replica from scratch.

Trust me to check out local cuisine. At Ibadan, I asked goggle the best local amala joint? Inastraits came up top on a ranking. My wife was born in Ibadan and she attended University of Ibadan like her father who smartly went to University of Nigeria first ( I didn’t say that)

Back to the food. I Navigated with Google and ended up at a street not far from the cultural center, wrong place. I had my worries, if Google cannot locate the top restaurant how can I trust the ranking? I tried a local trick. Asked the next person standing by the road side ” where is pronounced E..na straits? ” he was confused for a moment. My worries grew….then he said ” ooo E..no straits” I nodded vigorously noting my Igbo pronunciation of the word. We made a detour and got to the Cultural center.

My fears vanished as I saw the well laid out soups and hot amala. The meat stew looked like an Indian massala and the fish was inviting. I quickly ordered. The amala was great as google reviews attested.

I so enjoyed the food that I paid for all the people eating while I was there. One of the young men came to me and said “My Minister”….i was surprised that he could recognize me at an Ibadan bukka. The owner was pleasant and service was great.

My greatest shock…and my wife will like this….they had dental floss at the Amala joint!!!. Ibadan got one over other cities, I will tell Emily Restaurant in Enugu to up the game.

I scored Inastraits…called Inostraits…8/10. Highly recommended. Made new young friends who followed me on Instagram immediately after the hearty lunch.

The Cybercrime Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, INTERPOL, National Central Bureau, Abuja has arrested two (2) suspects for their complicity in a major multi-million Euro scam touching on procurement of COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The suspects, Babatunde Adesanya a.k.a Teddy, 50years old Master degree holder in Cell Biology and Akinpelu Hassan Abass, 41years old, the M.D Musterpoint Investment Nig. Ltd, who are members of a sophisticated transnational criminal network, cloned the corporate website of ILBN Holdings BV, Holland to transact with and defraud one Freiherr Fredrick Von Hahn, a representative of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The arrest of the suspects was sequel to a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) received by the Bureau from the office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice conveying a request from the German Government for investigations into a fraudulent transaction on the procurement of COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment linked to a Nigerian-based Bank Account.

Discrete investigations by INTERPOL Nigeria revealed that the suspects and their Holland-based cohorts, one Eduardus Boomstra and Geradius Maulder specialized in identity theft, cyber-stalking, cloning of corporate websites amongst other cyber mischiefs to defraud unsuspecting members of the public across the world. In this instance, the suspects fraudulently obtained from Mr Freiherr Fredrick Von Hahn the sum of 1.5m Euro and another 880,000 Euro as advanced payment for the supply of COVID-19 PPEs valued at 14.7million Euros. Disturbed by the non-arrival of the PPEs, Mr Freiherr Fredrick Von Hahn eventually visited the corporate office of ILBN Holdings BV in Holland to inquire reasons for the delay in supplying the items only to find out that the company never did business with him and that the transaction was a scam. The fraudsters merely cloned the company’s website and falsely presented themselves as representatives of the company before subsequently executing the fraudulent transaction. Consequently, he reported the case of fraud to the Police in Holland and this led to the arrest of Eduardus Boomstra and Geradius Maulder in Holland and investigations extended to Nigeria.

Investigation by INTERPOL Nigeria further revealed that Babatunde Adesanya received 498,000 Euro from Eduardus Boomstra and Geradius Maulder through his Citibank London account and transferred same to an account number domiciled with a Lagos branch of a leading commercial bank in Nigeria belonging to Musterpoint Investment Nig. Ltd.

While commending the Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL, CP Garba Baba Umar and operatives of INTERPOL Nigeria, Cybercrime Unit for a job well done, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni assures members of the public and the international community of the commitment of the Force to tackling cybercrimes and other transnational crimes. He reiterates that there will be no hiding place for internet fraudsters in the country.

Meanwhile, the suspects will be arraigned before a competent court of law soon.

Flagship-level 64MP Ultra Quad Camera, 48MP Dual Front Camera, Each Picture Is A Masterpiece

TECNO has once again, just like it did for the CAMON 15, placed great emphasis on the camera function of the CAMON 16 Premier. Its excellent camera ability allows TECNO to gain a firm foothold as a leader in the mobile phone market. The biggest highlight of the CAMON 16 Premier is that it contains an industry-best 64MP rear camera and 48MP front cameras, creating a super-powerful camera function that can bring users an unprecedented clear photography experience.

64+8+2+2MP super powerful camera modules bring users unprecedented clear photography experiences. Each camera lens has its own mission and outstanding feature, truly living up to the users’ expectation that each picture could be a masterpiece. 48MP super clear selfie lens, 8MP ultra wide angle selfie lens, such a marvelous combination would definitely set off a hot trend in the industry.

With those cameras, not only can the users capture unimaginably clear selfies, but also can include more friends and beautiful views in one frame.

The camera’s 105° self-portrait angle of view is also 1.6 times higher than that of the conventional camera. However, the main highlight is still the intelligent switching of the wide-angle lens mode – it is the latest technology in the market. With a processing capability of HDR 12-bit, portrait photos will not be overexposed even with backlight, and the dark details are optimized and displayed, allowing selfies to be rich and vivid. Together, TECNO CAMON 16 Premier redefines why it was recognized the first and pioneering 48MP AI dual front camera.

TAIVOS™, Innovation & Mainstay for super night and low-light photography

TECNO CAMON 16 Premier is even more impressive at handling low-light and night situations. The phone is equipped with the world’s exclusive trademark TAIVOS™ technology (TECNO AI Vision Optimization Solution). Based on ten million levels of dark-skin study data base, the TECNO R&D team is acutely developing multiple AI vision algorithms on TAIVOS™ to better optimize the photo and video output quality. The powerful match of software and hardware together support unimaginable clear and smooth photography experiences. It can run complex algorithms and multiple algorithms superposition to meet the shooting needs of different scenes. Dark and reverse shots are clear, and more new shooting functions are derived to provide users with richer and more multi-dimensional shooting experience. The imaging time is only 4.68 seconds, while the imaging time of most other smartphones is 5.5 seconds or even 7 seconds. This means that TAIVOS™ technology can better filter image noise and optimize image clarity, thereby enhancing night shooting effects.

Thanks to TAIVOS™ technology, TECNO CAMON 16 Premier can not only protect portraits and avoid overexposure, but also make the background more transparent, bright, and clear. Additionally, the CAMON 16 Premier has an eye focus function and the focus of the portrait will not be lost even when taking a side profile. In the Ultra Night Video-shoot mode, this mobile phone uses 2.9μm super-large pixels which can provide users with a brighter video shooting experience in dark environments and can also shoot stable 1080p videos.

4K High-definition Video Quality

The TECNO CAMON 16 Premier also boasts unique video shooting functions. The combination of Super Hybrid Image Stabilization (HIS) and EIS+AIS supports high-definition picture quality and high frame rate video shooting. TECNO CAMON 16 Premier also optimizes the basic portrait beauty function. This is done using the AI face detection and portrait blur algorithm, while the skin tone blur function is added to enhance the overall professional feel of the video. The benefits of the new TECNO CAMON 16 do not stop there. The newly upgraded battery fast charge of TECNO CAMON 16 Premier is also a highlight. The 4500mAh large battery can easily meet various demanding everyday needs. The key point is its 33W safe fast charge ability – you can charge 70% of the phone’s battery in just 30 minutes.

The phone has been redesigned to include multiple intelligent charging protection, such as safer power recovery. A new heat pipe is added to dissipate heat, which effectively reduces the surface temperature by 2 degrees during charging, thereby reducing damage to the phone and extends battery life.

Dear Pastor David Ibiyeomie,

Christ was insulted, but He did not insult back. “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate”-1 Peter 2:23.

Daddy Freeze was wrong to say what he did on Oyedepo. But my Christian brother, you are even more in the wrong to have insulted him.

He is no bastard. I know both his mother and father. His father is a Muslim Yoruba businessman that has contributed much to Nigerian society and his mother is the first female vice chancellor of a Nigerian private university, and a Professor of law. By calling him a bastard, you not only insulted him. You insulted his mother.

Christ would never have done that! Daddy Freeze is cantankerous. He is sometimes (but not always) a credit to Christianity, but too often, he spoils that by engaging in needless controversy for the sake of notoriety and social media following.

Face him and challenge him on that, whether publicity or privately (I do it privately). But it is not right to insult him seeing as Scripture says “a servant of the Lord must not quarrel”-2 Timothy 2:24.

Finally, a child who does not know his father is not a bastard. There are illegitimate parents. But there are no illegitimate children.

God helped me build an orphanage. I did not steal to build it. I did not build it with donation from church members. I built it with my own money. How do you think my children will feel to hear what you said knowing they were abandoned at birth? They get enough of this from children at their school. Now, they are hearing it from you, a man who should no better. I am in tears as I write this.
