Lagos will host a major Canada–Nigeria Technology Partnership Forum on Thursday, March 26, 2026, bringing together leading voices from both countries’ technology ecosystems to deepen collaboration in the digital economy.
The event, organized by the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) at the Deputy High Commission of Canada in Nigeria, will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel and is expected to draw technology leaders, innovators, distributors, systems integrators, and policymakers from across Canada and Nigeria.
Designed as a high-level engagement platform, the forum will spotlight Canada’s advanced technology capabilities while creating pathways for commercial partnerships in key sectors including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, telecommunications, enterprise solutions, and smart infrastructure. It is also expected to strengthen bilateral innovation ties through trade, knowledge exchange, and joint development opportunities.
Proceedings will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and introductory remarks led by the Trade Commissioner Service, followed by official opening remarks at 9:00 a.m. from the Head of Office at the Deputy High Commission of Canada in Lagos.
A keynote address scheduled for 9:10 a.m. will be delivered by Mr. Olagoke Orija, representing the Country Manager of Microsoft Nigeria. The address is expected to focus on the role of technology in accelerating Nigeria’s digital transformation and expanding cross-border innovation opportunities.
A central feature of the forum will be a panel discussion titled “Building Stronger Tech Partnerships: Distributor, Integrator & Reseller Opportunities,” scheduled for 10:00 a.m. The session will examine practical models for collaboration between Canadian and Nigerian firms, including expectations in international partnerships, success factors in joint ventures and distribution, and lessons from existing Canada–Nigeria collaborations. Confirmed panelists include Lee-Michael J. Pronko (Canada), Dr. Isi Brennan (USA), and Gbemi Akande of Optimus AI (Canada).
From 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., participants will break into sector-focused syndicate sessions featuring presentations from Canadian technology companies. These include Agile Agilist, focusing on artificial intelligence; Cetark, specializing in cybersecurity; Ethica Channel Enablement Inc and Telepin, both focused on telecommunications; SimplyCast, offering enterprise solutions; and Viion Systems, which works in IoT and smart infrastructure. Each firm is expected to deliver targeted presentations outlining their solutions and partnership opportunities in the Nigerian market.
An interactive question-and-answer session will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 12:20 p.m., allowing participants to engage directly with presenters and explore potential collaborations.
The program will conclude with a wine tasting and networking session from 12:20 p.m. to 12:50 p.m., curated by Nicotawines and featuring selections from Canadian wineries and distilleries including Tawse Winery, Macaloney Distillery, Lakeview, and Reif Estate Winery.
Closing remarks will be delivered at 1:00 p.m. by the Senior Trade Commissioner, who will reaffirm Canada’s commitment to strengthening sustainable, innovation-driven partnerships with Nigeria’s growing technology sector.
