In response to ongoing security challenges in Anambra State, Governor Charles Soludo has taken steps to strengthen law enforcement by handing over 30 operational vehicles to the Nigeria Police, Anambra State Command.

The move is part of the state government’s efforts to improve the capacity of security agencies to respond more effectively to crime and maintain public safety. According to the governor, the lack of adequate mobility has been a major issue affecting police operations across the state.

Governor Soludo noted that since the introduction of the security initiative Operation Udo Ga Achi, there has been a noticeable improvement in peace and order. He attributed this progress to the dedication of security personnel who continue to work under challenging conditions to protect lives and property.

He explained that the newly provided vehicles would enhance police response time, enable better patrol coverage, and improve the overall fight against criminal activities.

The governor also praised the Nigeria Police, Anambra State Command, led by Commissioner of Police Ikioye Orutugu, for their commitment to duty despite limited resources.

The state government reaffirmed its commitment to addressing security issues by providing the necessary support to law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of residents and promote a more secure Anambra State.
