Rivers State has reached a major milestone in the quest for affordable housing as the Executive Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, officially inaugurated the first 1,000 homes at the Greater Taf City development.
The ceremony, held exactly two years after the project’s groundbreaking, marks the successful completion of the initial phase of a vision designed to bring dignity, security, and homeownership to the people of the state.
A Model for the Continent
The project has been hailed as a triumph of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Developed by TAF Africa Global in collaboration with the Rivers State Government, the initiative has already gained international acclaim:
- Award-Winning Innovation: Named the “Most Innovative PPP in Affordable Housing in Africa” by the African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF) in 2024.
- Industry Leadership: TAF Africa Global was also recognized as the “Affordable Housing Company of the Year in Africa” for both 2024 and 2025.
