In an official Letter of Appreciation for Partnership and Engagement with NYSC Corps Members, issued from the NYSC Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, the Scheme praised Codefest Africa for its “reliable, long-standing, and valuable” contributions to youth upskilling, particularly in technology and innovation.

Signed by Aremu Kehinde, Director (SAED), for the Director-General, the letter acknowledged Codefest’s role in creating meaningful opportunities for corps members, highlighting their participation in the Codefest Nigerian Hackathon Expo & Awards held on November 20, 2025. Reacting to the recognition, Moss Uramta, Chief Executive Officer of Codefest Africa, described the commendation as a validation of the organization’s mission to empower Nigerian youth through technology.

“We are deeply honored by this recognition from the NYSC,” Uramta said. “Our partnership with the Scheme reflects a shared commitment to equipping young Nigerians with practical, future-ready digital skills. The performance of corps members at the Codefest Nigerian Hackathon Expo & Awards shows what is possible when talent is given the right platform.”

“We remain committed to working with NYSC to create more inclusive opportunities that prepare corps members for the global digital economy,” Uramta added.
