In a move signaling a clear commitment to advancing aviation infrastructure, Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, in Abuja. The discussions focused on strategic partnerships and ongoing improvements within Nigeriaโ€™s aviation sector.

Accompanying the Governor were key figures in the stateโ€™s aviation ecosystem, including Mr. Uwem Ekanem, Managing Director/CEO of Ibom Airport Development Company and Senior Special Assistant on Aviation Development, Hon. Frank Archibong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and Mr. Raymond Abia. The meeting brought together major stakeholders across the aviation industry, underscoring the collaborative approach the state is taking to elevate its aviation profile.

In a landmark development, the Victor Attah Airport has officially been designated as Victor Attah International Airportโ€”a move that reflects both the stateโ€™s growing aviation ambitions and its commitment to regional and international connectivity.

Governor Umo Enoโ€™s proactive engagement with federal authorities illustrates a hands-on leadership style, signaling that Akwa Ibom is positioning itself as a key player in Nigeriaโ€™s aviation sector.
