The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, has called for collective responsibility in building and sustaining Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
Abdullahi, who was represented by the Director of E-Government and Digital Economy Development, Engr. Salisu Kaka, made the call while participating in the 15th edition of the Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) held in Abuja.
Speaking at the event, he emphasised that collaboration remains central to effective digital governance in the country. “Collaboration is the foundation of good governance. It is a shared responsibility, and everyone right down to the last individual has a role to play,” he said.
The forum, themed “Building Digital Governance Together: From Vision to Action,” brought together stakeholders from government, the private sector, civil society, academia, and the technical community to discuss policies and strategies for the future of digital governance in Nigeria.
Participants at the event highlighted the importance of partnerships and inclusive participation in shaping policies that will drive digital transformation and ensure a secure, innovative, and inclusive digital economy for the country.
