Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI) has announced the launch of the Nigeria Talent Accelerator Network, a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening workforce capabilities, bridging productivity gaps, and accelerating the nation’s digital transformation.
The program, which positions Nigeria for the future of work, marks the country’s official entry into the World Economic Forum’s Global Accelerators Network under the Reskilling Revolution initiative. The effort is being jointly co-chaired by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and the Federal Ministry of Education, and coordinated by the National Talent Export Programme (NATEP).
Speaking on the launch, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, described the initiative as a “game changer” for Nigeria’s human capital development and global competitiveness.
Special recognition was given to the initiative’s co-chairs — Mr. Samaila Zubairu, President and CEO of the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), and Mr. Boye Olusanya, Group Managing Director and CEO of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc — for their leadership and partnership in driving the project forward.
The Nigeria Talent Accelerator Network is expected to play a pivotal role in upskilling the nation’s workforce, fostering innovation, and aligning Nigeria with global trends in talent development and digital transformation.
