The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and his wife, Her Excellency Chioma Uzodimma, joined family, friends, and dignitaries in celebrating Lady Joy Iwuanyanwu, mother of the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chyna Amara Iwuanyanwu, as she marked her 70th birthday in Owerri.
In a heartfelt message, Governor Uzodimma described Lady Joy as “a woman who embodies the finest virtues of grace, wisdom, strength, and love.” He commended her enduring contributions to family, community, and faith — noting that her life serves as a shining example of dedication, humility, and godly service.
“Lady Joy has nurtured not only her family but all who have been fortunate to know her,” the Governor said. “Through her warmth, humility, and wisdom, she has touched countless lives and inspired many to live with compassion and integrity.”
Governor Uzodimma, who attended the celebration alongside his wife, lauded the Iwuanyanwu family for upholding values that continue to strengthen both the home and society. He emphasized that Lady Joy’s life story mirrors the virtues of “the true Imo woman — resilient, prayerful, and committed to the wellbeing of her family and community.”
As part of his goodwill message, the Governor prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the celebrant, saying:
