The innovative team Uwe-Talk/Team 83 has joined the CODEFEST NIG HACK ’25 competition with their groundbreaking project, UweTalk, a Nigerian Language AI Voice Assistant designed to enhance communication and accessibility across multiple local languages.
Competing under the AI and Machine Learning category, the team’s idea aims to revolutionize how Nigerians interact with technology by providing a smart voice interface tailored to native linguistic and cultural nuances.
The contest, themed “Build for Nigeria”, is part of CODEFEST’s official Guinness World Record attempt and has attracted over 5,000 participants nationwide. With a total ₦5,000,000 prize pool, the hackathon seeks to highlight local talent and technological creativity.
