Smiles, Hope, and Clean Water Flow Again in Apo Wassa

Residents of the Apo Wassa Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) community are now enjoying access to safe, clean water following the commissioning of a solar-powered borehole, thanks to the efforts of participants from the NNPC Academy Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) Cohort 105.

The initiative, part of the program’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, not only addresses a critical need for potable water but also exemplifies leadership rooted in compassion and service. By translating knowledge into tangible community impact, the project promotes health, dignity, and sustainable development for the families in Apo Wassa.

Speaking on the project, NNPC Academy representatives emphasized the importance of purpose-driven leadership in creating real-world change that benefits communities and inspires hope.

The initiative aligns with NNPC’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community development.
