A historic milestone was achieved this week as Gateway International Airport, Iperu-Ilishan, officially commenced commercial flight operations with the maiden ValueJet flight from Ogun State to Abuja. The event, hailed as a new dawn in the state’s aviation history, marks the first time commercial air services have operated from Ogun State, fulfilling a long-held aspiration for regional connectivity and economic growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Joy Ogbebo, Founder and CEO of Mamaj Aviation Consult Limited, expressed pride in the achievement, highlighting the collaborative efforts that brought the vision to life.
