Prominent lawyer and women’s leadership advocate, Chinyere Okorocha, Head of Sectors at Jackson, Etti & Edu and Immediate Past Chairperson of the NBA Women Forum, delivered a powerful keynote address at the Moms Conference & Exhibition 2025 held over the weekend.
Organised by Mammy Nest Global Ltd. under the visionary leadership of Zibi Anani, the conference centred on the theme “Mothers as Leaders – Elevating Family, Career, and Well-being Globally.”
Okorocha shared deeply personal reflections from her journey, including attending international conferences as a young nursing mother—an experience she described as a reminder that “leadership often requires creating space where none exists.”
In her keynote, she outlined three essential pillars for mothers leading in today’s world: Clarity, Tenacity, and Visibility. She also encouraged women to build strong support systems, set clear boundaries, prioritise well-being, overcome imposter syndrome, and celebrate milestones along the way.
“Mothers are not just leaders in the home,” Okorocha said. “They are visionaries in boardrooms, classrooms, communities, and nations. Our leadership blends empathy with strength, sacrifice with resilience, and vision with grace.”
She closed her address with an empowering message that resonated deeply with attendees:
“Your leadership matters. When mothers rise, generations rise with us.”
Okorocha expressed appreciation to the organisers for curating a transformative event that celebrates and elevates the voices of mothers as leaders across all spheres of life.
