Andrew Esekhaigbe Family Celebrates Son’s First-Class Graduation from Covenant University

It was a moment of immense pride and celebration for Mr. and Mrs. Andrew and Franca Esekhaigbe ,as their son Eronmosele, graduated with First-Class Honours in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State.

For the proud parents, the milestone marks the fulfillment of every parent’s dream—to see their child “soar like an eagle and prosper.” In a nation where interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses has dwindled among young people, Eronmosele’s achievement stands as a beacon of hope, enriching Nigeria’s pool of young engineering talents poised to shape the country’s infrastructural future.

Speaking to journalists at the convocation ceremony, the elated father, Mr. Andrew Esekhaigbe, expressed deep gratitude and joy.

“It is always the prayer of every parent to see their children prosper and soar,” he said. “Today, I am thankful to God that I am alive to witness such a memorable moment. I am proud beyond words and happy to share this joy with my friends and family.”

He went on to praise his son’s determination and passion for engineering.

“My son has always loved engineering. I supported his choice wholeheartedly, and today, I give all glory to God and everyone who stood by us throughout this journey.”

Equally delighted, Mrs. Franca Esekhaigbe, the celebrant’s mother, shared her emotions with warmth and pride.

“As a mother, it is a wonderful feeling to see your child succeed. I am overjoyed and deeply thankful to God for making this day a reality,” she said with a radiant smile.

Amid cheers from friends, relatives, and well-wishers, the young graduate, Esekhaigbe Eronmosele, expressed his gratitude to his parents, lecturers, and peers.

“I feel deeply honored to be here today. I thank my parents for their sacrifices and unwavering support, my lecturers for their guidance, and my friends and reading partners who made this journey memorable. Covenant University provided the environment and encouragement that helped us thrive,” he stated.

Among the guests at the ceremony was Mr. Tony Eigbe, a family relative and founder of SkyGate Aluminium, who lauded Eronmosele’s achievement.

“This is truly impressive,” he said. “Having watched him grow from infancy, I always knew he would achieve greatness. It is an honor to see him attain this milestone. Congratulations to him and the entire family.”

Also present was Barrister Paul Ihonre, Principal Partner of Paul Ihonre & Co. Chambers, who described the achievement as both inspiring and commendable.

“Esekhaigbe has brought pride and honor to his family, community, and church. Earning a first class is no easy feat—it reflects discipline, resilience, and brilliance. This is just the beginning; the sky is only the starting point for him,” he said.

Mr. Greg Ibadin, an Uncle to the graduand added that ” as our son, he has done us proud and he is now a reference points to other youths in the family not only that to the community also and we are happy with this and we know that this is the begining of good things to come in his life . Will say a big congratulations!”

Mr. Anthony Nwosu, CEO of Menxtt Technology NG and Conn8 Media Solutions NG, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the value of education.

“It is a thing of joy to witness this moment. At a time when many young people perceive education as a scam, Eronmosele’s success proves that education remains the key to unlocking life’s opportunities. We celebrate the family for this outstanding accomplishment.”

The Esekhaigbe family’s celebration stands as a reminder that perseverance, faith, and parental support continue to shape the future of Nigeria’s youth—one brilliant mind at a time.

“As a mother, it is a wonderful feeling to see your child succeed. I am overjoyed and deeply thankful to God for making this day a reality,” she said with a radiant smile.
