Lagos, Nigeria — After losing access to her LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook accounts overnight, Inikpi Amodu, a lawyer and Programs Lead at UNESCO Youth Of Dialogue (YOD), has shared an inspiring message about resilience, purpose, and redefining digital influence.
In a heartfelt post, Amodu revealed that all her Meta accounts were taken down unexpectedly — erasing years of connections, professional visibility, and digital trust she had carefully built.
“For three months, I lost touch with my purpose too,” she wrote. “The pain of losing what I had built was real, and I was ready to walk away.”
Despite multiple attempts to recover her accounts, nothing worked. But encouragement from colleagues, friends, and even strangers rekindled her motivation.
“People reached out — calls, messages, emails, even strangers walking up to me saying, ‘We miss your voice, we miss your presence.’ That made me realize my presence had always been beyond platforms. It’s been about impact,” Amodu explained.
Speaking at LinkedIn Local-Nigeria 2025, where she co-hosted the red carpet, Amodu said the experience reaffirmed her belief that true influence is rooted in purpose, not platforms.
“Platforms may go down, but purpose does not,” she reflected. “Visibility matters, but consistency matters more. Impact is the true legacy, not followers.”
Amodu’s message has since resonated across professional and youth empowerment circles, serving as a reminder of the importance of authenticity and resilience in an increasingly digital world.
As she rebuilds her online presence, Amodu says she remains focused on what truly endures: “Losing everything reminded me of what cannot be lost. And that is what I will keep building.”
