Governor Commissions First Phase of Ajara Housing Scheme in Badagry

Badagry, Lagos — The Lagos State Government today commissioned the first phase of the Ajara Housing Scheme in Badagry, marking another major milestone in the administration’s commitment to providing quality and affordable housing for residents.

The newly commissioned phase comprises 420 modern housing units, designed and constructed with an emphasis on quality, comfort, and sustainability.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Governor noted that the project, which began several years ago, had been stalled until his administration intervened to resolve the long-standing challenges hindering its completion.

“We took decisive steps to revive this project, and today, we’re proud to deliver it as the 24th housing estate completed under our administration,” he said.

In addition to commissioning the first phase, the Governor announced the commencement of the second phase of the Ajara Housing Scheme, which will deliver over 800 additional housing units upon completion.

He reaffirmed his administration’s continued investment in the holistic development of Badagry through projects in roads, healthcare, education, and housing, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents.

“Together, we are shaping a Greater Lagos—one community at a time,” he added.
