Enugu State is set to host a historic visit as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to tour the state tomorrow to commission several transformative projects executed under the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
Governor Mbah expressed his excitement about the visit, describing it as a significant milestone that underscores the progress and shared vision of his administration.
Among the notable projects to be commissioned are the Enugu Smart Green Schools, with 30 already completed and equipped out of the 260 under construction across the state. These schools are part of the government’s push to enhance access to quality education.
Similarly, the healthcare sector has witnessed substantial improvements, with 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres completed out of the 260 currently being developed. These facilities aim to make quality healthcare more accessible to residents in all wards of the state.
In addition, President Tinubu will inaugurate the Enugu International Conference Centre, a multi-auditorium facility designed to attract global events and investments. Also on the list of completed projects are 90 urban roads and a cutting-edge Command and Control Centre. The centre features 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-powered surveillance cameras, significantly enhancing security and safety across the state.
“This visit by Mr. President will not only showcase the progress we’ve made but also reaffirm our commitment to repositioning Enugu State as a hub of innovation, safety, and opportunity,” Governor Mbah stated.
The governor highlighted the projects as part of a broader strategy to elevate living standards, boost infrastructure, and create an environment conducive to investment and development.
The people of Enugu eagerly anticipate President Tinubu’s arrival, with hopes that the visit will further solidify the state’s status as a beacon of progress and excellence in Nigeria.
