The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, has lauded the groundbreaking innovations presented during the latest session of DevsInGovernment. The initiative, which brings together civil service technologists and representatives from State and Local Governments, aims to address critical challenges through technology-driven solutions.
In his remarks, Dr. Tijani stated, “It was great to see the practical value of #DevsInGovernment come to life as technologists from the civil service collaborated with State and Local Government representatives to create solutions for some of their most pressing challenges.”
The session’s top prize went to Group 4 participants for their innovative application designed to combat insecurity in Local Government Areas.
Other noteworthy solutions included:
- Satellite-powered applications to monitor flooding and ensure food security.
- Systems for data collation and utilization in rural farming and agricultural product management.
- Drone technology aimed at enhancing agricultural yields.
Dr. Tijani emphasized the program’s significance, adding, “This was certainly one of the most exciting #DevsInGovernment sessions so far, and I’m thrilled about the future of this initiative. It truly reflects Nigerian excellence.”
