No less than three Ebonyi Children have been awarded scholarship by Shell Petroleum Company of Nigeria for their excellent performance in the 2020,
NCEE conducted by the National Examination Council, NECO.
Ebonyi State Officer of NECO, Mr. Nyam A. Edokor announced this in a letter to the Governor on Thursday.
According to Mr. Edokor, Ebonyi State followed up the beautiful outing of the year 2020 in 2021 by presenting the highest number of candidates for BECE across the Federation.
While expressing hope of continued maintenance of such excellent performance by Ebonyi Children, Mr. Edokor applauded the State Government led by Engineer David Umahi for its tireless efforts in transforming all the facets of the State including the Education Sector which culminated in the academic laurels being amassed by Ebonyi Children.
“Your Excellency, may I most respectfully bring to your notice NECO’s recognition of your tremendous contributions in making Ebonyi a pacesetter in so many sectors including the educational sector which culminated in: great improvement in students’ performances in this administration.
“Your Excellency, it will interest you to know that due to the excellent performances of Ebonyi children in the 2020 NCEE conducted by NECO, the children gained three (03) scholarship chances with Shell Petroleum Company of Nigeria.
“The NECO Accreditation Team also applauded you during the 2021 Accreditation visits to schools in Ebonyi State for the state of the art facilities put in place by your administration.”
The State officer also pledged to partner State Government in whichever way possible to ensure continued Educational development of Ebonyi State and its Citizens.
