The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, @hmsundaydare alongside his counterpart in the Women Affairs Ministry, @damepaulinektallen will lead a retinue of high profile guests that include the Presidents of the world soccer governing body, FIFA, Gianni Infantino and the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Dr Patrice Motsepe to Lagos for the opening ceremony of the first edition of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament kicking off on Wednesday.
Nigeria and five other nations- Morocco, South Africa, Mali, Cameroon and Ghana will be part of the week long competition which is now a FIFA ranking tournament.
The Executive Governor of Lagos, His Excellency @jidesanwoolu is the Chief Host of the historic competition now set to kick off after the arrival of all the participating teams.
The opening ceremony will be between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Black Eagles of Mali.
One of the star players to watch out for is the Super Falcons captain @asisat_oshoala who is a four time African Woman footballer of the Year award winner.
