The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami received in audience, the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard on a working visit today in his office, Abuja.
The diplomat was at the Minister’s office to strengthen ties between Nigeria and the United States in the areas of IT Infrastructure Services, Backbone Connectivity Network, Broadband Penetration, Satellite Communication and Digital Skills.
In his remarks, the Honourable Minister, Dr Pantami reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian government to come up with policies that will provide a favourable investment haven in the country.
The Minister said “Nigeria is a virgin market to investors with a population of over 200 million people and a youthful population that are digital native.” Adding that, “the Nigerian government is committed to providing the enabling environment for private business to thrive”.
