Nigeria’s ambition to host the UNESCO Category II Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Institute has gained significant international backing, with seven nations formally endorsing the bid and 20 others committing support. In a significant development for Nigeria’s telecommunications industry, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, has announced that telecom service tariffs are set to increase by 30 to 60 percent.
