Leading security and safety platform, AURA has been selected to participate in the virtual edition of the prestigious African Early Stage Investment Summit (AESIS) and Venture Showcase on 3 and 4 November 2020.
Hosted by VC4A, AESIS is an annual event, which last year gathered more than 350 Africa-focused investors active on the continent. This year, AURA is among Africa’s top 10 start-ups to present its security technology platform to investors and key ecosystem stakeholders.
AURA was shortlisted for the 2020 Venture Showcase, VC4A’s flagship program for entrepreneurs, from thousands of applicants. The programme aims to showcase the best African start-ups and ensure they have access to growth capital in addition to webinars, consultations with industry experts, and ample opportunity for peer-to-peer learning. Building off extensive involvement of the Africa-focused investment community, and integrated into the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit, the Venture Showcase ensures both visibility and connections for participating entrepreneurs.
Founded in 2016, AURA partners with reputable independent armed reaction and medical response service companies in South Africa.
The company focuses on ensuring consumers get the fastest response to an emergency, anywhere, anytime, while also ensuring its security and medical partners are able to provide the most efficient and effective services possible.
Says AURA founder and CEO Warren Myers, “We are thrilled to be selected to be part of VC4A’s Venture Showcase and the African Early Stage Investment Summit and look forward to playing an even bigger role in delivering innovation into the rest of the continent.”
